David Gomes

I started playing tennis at 6, after trying football, but it was on the tennis court that I found my passion. I love sports and challenging myself. I play for LX Team and see myself as a good player because I never give up, have fair play, and am friends with everyone. My goal is to be a professional and the best in the world. My idol is Roger Federer — I admire his fair play and creative game. I’d love to meet him and hear his stories. At Vanguard Stars 2023, a special moment was in Porto when Laurinha passed the group stage for the first time. The circuit taught me to start matches focused and make fewer mistakes. I played all stages and loved Frankfurt the most, also visiting museums with my family. I enjoy the organisation and spaces to play and socialise. In my free time, I read, watch movies, and spend time with friends. My ideal world is being on court with my family, who are my biggest supporters.
