Irene Basalo Magdaleno

I train at Club de Campo Sevilla and started playing tennis at 4 to make friends. I consider myself a good player because I work hard to improve and I’m fair and respectful on court. My idol is Rafa Nadal, and I would ask him how he managed to get so far. One day I want to be Spanish champion. My question for João Sousa would be: who was your toughest rival and how did you feel? My funniest moment at Vanguard Stars was going to the Seville tournament with my sister as players. Vanguard Stars is different because you make many friends, it encourages you to improve, values sportsmanship and effort, and gives many gifts. My dream is to be a professional tennis player. My ideal world would have more equality, help for those in need, fewer weapons, and an end to the pandemic, with people helping each other every day.
